The new admissions from Play Group till IX are normally made at the beginning of the academic year in the month of January and are considered on seats available basis. The new admissions for Intermediate classes are made in the month of April. With the exception of transfer cases, no admissions are normally made in classes X and XII. Modernage accommodates the students in three categories:

  1. Day-Scholars
  2. Day-Boarders
  3. Full Time Boarders or Residential.

Some of the guides or indicators considered at the time of admission are grades in previous class and the scores in the written test and interview administered by the School/College Entrance Examination Committee. The written test is based on the courses of study meant for the previous class. For classes Play Group and Nursery however, the test is an intelligence/picture test coupled with an interview.

An advertisement calling for the application appears in the important dailies of the country in the month of November. The application form along with prospectus can be obtained by hand or by post on payment of required fee.

Each application is reviewed and an acknowledgement is sent. Transfer Admission:

Students seeking to transfer to Modernage must be in good standing, academically and otherwise, at the institution they have previously attended. Transference is permitted only if it is in accordance with the rules and regulations of transfer as laid down by The Abbottabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. A transfer student may be required to pass an examination to determine his/her readiness to enter a certain class. The remaining requirements to be fulfilled by transfer students will be determined on individual basis.

International Student Information:

Modernage has been actively involved in the education of international students, especially from Pakistani families settled abroad, since its formation. International students are required to provide evidence of proficiency in written and spoken English. Financial aid is generally not available to international students. The remaining rules and regulations are the same as those stated for regular candidates.

Withdrawal and Discharge:

The intended withdrawal of a child should be reported in writing to the Principal one month in advance for day-scholars and one quarter in advance for boarders or in lieu thereof, fee for that period will be charged. This regulation does not apply to the children of Armed Personnel or Government servants when they are posted out of station. In the latter case a copy of the transfer order should be attached, if possible, with the written notice.

Notice of withdrawal during the winter vacation must be submitted before 31st December else the student’s name will be transferred to his/her new class for the new academic year. In such an incidence, the fee will become payable for the month of March in case of day scholars, and for the first quarter in case of boarders.

No school leaving certificate or any other kind of certificate will be issued until all the fees and other dues have been paid.

No notice of withdrawal of a child will be accepted immediately prior to either the summer or the winter holidays. The child will still be liable to pay for the holiday fees.
