The academic year for classes Playgroup to IX begins in the first week of March and ends in December, divided into two terms:

From 1st week of March till end of June

Final Term
From 1st week of August till mid of December
There are two major breaks in an academic year. The summer vacation lasts for one month and the winter vacation is for 8 to 10 weeks.
For Grade X, XI, and XII, the academic year starts in April, May, or June (after board exams) and ends the following year in March (Grade IX & X) or April (Grade XI & XII). These classes have a one-month summer break and a 2 to 3 week winter break, with special winter camps to prepare for board exams.

The yearly Schedule of Activities gives the detail of all the holidays and vacation observed by the institution. The parents are informed from time to time of the coming days off well in advance. Beside all gazetted holidays, Saturdays and Sundays are observed as weekly holidays and Friday is a half-day.
