Admission Requirements

The new admissions from Playgroup till IX are normally made at the beginning of the academic year in the month of January and are granted on the basis of available seats. The new admissions for Intermediate classes are made in the month of April. Modernage accommodates the students in three categories:

  • Day-Scholars
  • Day-Boarders
  • Full Time Boarders

Some of the guides or indicators considered at the time of admission are grades in previous class and the scores in the written test and interview administered by the School/College Entrance Examination Committee. The written test is based on the courses of study meant for the previous class. All the prospective candidates from Playgroup to XII shall be examined as follows:

  • Playgroup & Nursery: An Intelligence/Picture Test coupled with an interview along with the parents of the child is conducted.
  • Prep to IX & XI: A written Entry Test is conducted. Those candidates who secure 60% marks in the Entry Test are required to appear for interview for final selection. Only those pupils who obtain 65% marks in the Board Exam of Matric stand eligible for appearing in the Entrance Test of Inter Part I.
  • Grade X & XII: With the exception of transfer cases, no admissions are normally made in Grade X and XII. No written test is conducted for these classes. Provisional admission is granted to students on the basis of Surety Certificate from the previous college. When the Board result is declared, the student submits the Detail Marks Sheet and gains confirmation of admission in case he secures 65% marks in IX or XI.

An advertisement calling for registration for admission appears in the important dailies of the country in the month of November. The Registration Form along with prospectus can be obtained by hand for Rs 1000 or through post on payment of Rs. 1200.
