Living in a Boarding House
Most students find the experience of sharing a room, living together with many other friends and taking active part in the boarding houses to be both challenging and fun. The lessons in human nature, the friendships developed and the memories created will last a lifetime. The House Masters and House Mistresses along with their capable staff are ready at all times to help the boarders make the most of their boarding house experience.
Efforts are made to provide tasty, balanced and hygienic food to the boarders. The fixed menu offers a variety of foods. It is changed on a monthly basis according to the liking of the students.
The rooms are serviced daily. Facilities for personal washing and iron are available on the premises.
Student Health Services
The students are encouraged to develop healthy lifestyles. Modernage has acquired the services of a registered physician which include general care of illness and injury, physical examinations, laboratory services, immunizations, nutrition information, health maintenance and referrals to health care specialists/hospitals.
The medical bills are drawn in the quarterly fee at the end of the quarter. To avoid unnecessary worry and botheration to the parents only serious and prolonged illness cases are brought into their knowledge.
Evening & Weekend Programs
For the boarders coaching classes are arranged in the evening as well. The students are given assistance in their difficulties and guided to organize their study routines.
Besides studies, the weekends and evenings are often busy with special events ranging from lectures and films to sporting events and workshops. Special training sessions, discussions, religious activities and seminars are a regular feature. Educational and recreational one-day trips of students are arranged every month.
Correspondence and Visitation
The schedule of activities clearly points out the days on which the parents/guardians of boarders may visit their children. On the visit days the boarders are allowed to proceed for an outing with the parents/guardians. The parents/guardians are not allowed to meet their children/wards during the class hours.
The parents/guardians must submit in writing the names and full addresses of the relatives/friends who are authorized to meet their children. If a relative/friend whose name has not been given in advance wishes to see a boarder, he/she must carry a letter of authority from the parents for this purpose.
The mobile phones of borders are kept in the custody of the House Master. They are allowed to use them only for one hour daily from Monday to Thursday and for longer times on weekends.
In case of an emergency the parents/guardians may contact the school Principal or the House Master at any time on telephone.
Pocket Money
Collecting Borders for Vacation
It is the responsibility of the parents/guardians/authorized representatives to arrange collection of their children/wards at the time the school closes for vacation.
However, pick and drop facility can be provided to boarders leaving from Islamabad/Peshawar airport, if informed at least 7 days earlier.
After the holidays, the boarders must return positively on the appointed date and time.
