My journey in medicine as a doctor and my personal growth began long before I entered the hospital wards—it began at Modernage Public School, an institution that shaped not only my academic foundation but also my character, curiosity, and perseverance. Through its balanced focus on academics, extracurricular activities, and community engagement, Modernage helped me develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills—qualities that have proven invaluable throughout my journey in medicine. After graduating from Modernage, I carried forward the same spirit of dedication and compassion into my medical studies and clinical practice. My early experiences there gave me the confidence to take initiative and to work diligently, whether during my house job at Ayub Teaching Hospital—where I trained in Medicine, Paediatrics, Surgery, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology—or later in my Paediatric Residency (current). The strong ethical foundation laid at Modernage has guided me through the challenges of medical training, teaching me to approach each patient not merely as a case but as a person deserving of respect and care.

My journey of twelve years at Modernage is filled with cherished memories of the strong bonding of faculty with students that I now realize was only we who were blessed with. I still have fond memories of our sports week, school trips and the proudest moment was when we represented our beloved school at the Regional and National Students Quality Circles Conventions and brought titles. My teachers and my friends are the gift of this institute that I will take along my whole life. Being a hostelite at Modernage, gives me a sense of greater ownership for my alma mater. I remember that I was very good in sports but a bit hesitant to take part in co-curricular activities. However, my teachers never left a chance to pull me out and let me find for myself that I was a capable orator and had the confidence to lead. It was no surprise when I contested for the elections and ended up in the National Assembly! Thank you Modernage for setting my direction right in life!

I joined Modernage in 1st year, beginning a journey of self-discovery, leadership, and academic excellence. As part of the Student Quality Circle (SQC), I secured 1st position in Pakistan and represented the country at an international convention in Nepal. Serving as Head Boy further honed my leadership skills, and I achieved 3rd position in the Abbottabad Board. After graduation, I joined the Pakistan Army, serving in a prestigious unit in the war on terrorism on both fronts. My journey led me to key instructional roles, including Instructor at the School of Infantry and Tactics, Quetta, and Platoon Commander at PMA. Currently, I serve as Second in Command of an Infantry unit, continuing my commitment to leadership and service. Modernage remains my alma mater, the institution that shaped my path and instilled in me the values that guide me today.

I joined Modernage in Grade 5 and, at that time, I had no exposure to extra or co-curricular activities; neither the confidence to tackle the competitve world. However, I left with outstanding marks in Matric, won laurels in many extra-curricular activites including debating, sports and came out as a confident, hardworking young man ready to tackle the world, even won the All-Pakistan Declamation at COMSATS, while in class 7. Later, I got admission in the most prestigious medical college of Pakistan, i.e. Army Medical College, as a Medical Cadet where my grooming done in Modernage helped me win laurels again. Now, I am a comissioned officer and a doctor in Pakistan Army, doing my FCPS in Medicine, with intention to go much higher, InshAllah! Credit goes to my teachers and my school who put in a great effort to teach and groom me; their investment in me has, now, reached fruition in who I am today.

I was at Modernage from 2001 till 2010. I started my karate career at a young age, around 2002-2003. During my time at Modernage, I actively -participated in various extracurricular activities like anchoring, singing, naat, hamd, and more, winning numerous awards and achievements. I also showcased my karate skills at annual functions. I won multiple tournaments at the district and provincial levels, which led to me becoming a member of the KP Karate team. With the team, I won several medals at the National Games. In 2021, I had the opportunity to represent Pakistan at the World Karate Championship in Romania, where we secured a bronze medal. Notably, our rival India was disqualified in that tournament. I then had the chance to play for Romania for a year and a half, continuing my winning streak at international levels. After migrating to Germany, I joined various clubs and started making a name for myself, representing Germany at international competitions and winning numerous medals. In 2024, I became the National Champion of Germany, a historic feat for a Pakistani. One of my notable achievements is mentoring my brilliant student, Laiba Zia, who won a gold medal in the South Asian Games by defeating India in the final. Recently, I won a bronze medal in the National Championship of Germany, securing third place. My accomplishments are a result of my dedication, hard work, and focus on my targets. I believe that the platform of Karate at Modernage led me to all these wonderful achievements.

As I reflect on my journey, I'm grateful for the transformative experience at Modernage. From a shy 5th grader in 2009 to graduating in 2017, the nurturing environment of Modernage and dedicated faculty helped me overcome challenges and achieve academic excellence. Commissioned into the GDP branch of the Pakistan Air Force, I am now a fighter pilot in an elite squadron. I attribute my success to the strong foundation laid at Modernage. I am proud to be an alumnus and hope my story inspires future generations to chase their dreams.
